Linda's Saturday in Vancouver

I did the Hop On Off ride of Stanley Park again this morning, and was dressed for the event.  Apparently it's been a hot, dry summer so they removed all the lower window panes on the trolley bus. I can see the sense of this in hot weather, but jeepers it makes for an icy tour this time of year.
Stanley Park is larger than Central Park and looked very lush despite the dry summer. It was a surprise to see a cricket match underway there.
The yacht club

I then did the tour through Granville Island, Yaletown, Chinatown and hopped off in the fabulous Gaslight precinct for lunch.  Ham and corn chowder and salmon sampler 4 ways at The Flying Pig.   Excellent food and service.

Operation Saving/Smuggling Private Sam begins tomorrow, so a quiet last night in beautiful Vancouver for me.

  1. Aah! I note the difference! Back in the land of freedom ( from Nexus); never to be shackled to them again. Vancouver is such a great place to celebrate - and the photos are wonderful!

  2. I agree, although clearly Linda never received top secret clearance to be in the know regarding operational information...
