Seattle - Joan and Kevin style

We had the most perfect day; being thoroughly spoiled by Joan and Kevin, fantastic food and weather.
Sam and Joan, being extraordinarily Strongly Women, pedalled our contraption with me (total non contributor) and Kevin (partial contributor) weighing down the back.  (No further comment needed, thank you Kevin)

Along the beach, where beach volley is an actual thing! and fantastic houses.

We dined in style at Salty's, before the return pedal journey.

Back to Kevin and Joan's condo for a cleansing champagne and sparkling conversation to match :)

A walk through Pikes's Market, beers at Hard Rock roof top bar, and then dinner at The Pink Door.
What a great place, and one we would have never have known about without the locals. It does indeed have a pink door, but no other signage or hint of what lies within. As well as great food, live music and awesome vibe, apparently some trapeze entertainment above the diners is sometimes a feature. Sam was particularly taken with a swing above the dining area, and remains somewhat disappointed she was unable to devise a way to use it last night.  Watch out Pink Door, we are coming back in a few weeks .....

I lied. Sam did get on the swing. Here's her finale.

Kevin being happy to remain in the background

  1. The marvels of pedal power and the joy/ benefit of having others to do it for you! Great you caught up with Joan and Kevin.

  2. After close scrutiny, I don't think that is Sam on the swing. Sam would have had a sign proclaiming "I am Sam" if it really was her. I think you're protecting the innocent ie I think it was Kevin showing the prowess of the locals.
